Aside from all the politics surrounding it, that bridge is pretty hott. It looks so fragile from this angle, like it’s on giraffe legs!

I love this bridge and I love photographing it, although I don’t like crossing it (would rather give my toll money to the tunnel, which is city owned). In the background you can see the Michigan Central Station, an important heritage building that is also owned by Matty Moroun. It’s just sitting there rotting to pieces, just like all of the homes Moroun bought and boarded up on Indian Road (primarily student housing) hoping to build his new bridge there. Argh flargh it makes me mad.

Also, weird in a parallel universe sort of way . . . B emailed me yesterday with a holga site and said he thought it would be up my alley.
