I can’t believe it’s gone!
I lived on Algonquin Drive from about 1968 to summer 1972, and attended JAD McCurdy from kindergarten to grade 3. I was just there last August (2012) with my parents. It was a bit of a nostalgic tour for them (mom is in her late 70′s, dad, early 80′s now) and for me. I think it was the first time they’d been back in over 30 years. We walked around the school grounds and I took some photos with my phone.
Still have fond memories of Huron Park and the school. And yes, my sister and I did sneak into the culvert and go in a ways. Didn’t tell mom and dad though……
